Lonely Planet has selected the Redwood Coast as the best place to visit in 2018. The travel publication listed the Northern California Coastal Region, which stretches from the Bay Area to the Oregon border, as its top pick. Others on the list included Chattanooga, Tennessee and Kentucky’s Bourbon Country. “We’ve always known that the Redwood Coast is one of the most special places on Earth. We’re honored and glad to see that Lonely Planet and others are starting to see it, too,” said Tony Smithers of the Eureka-Humboldt Visitors Bureau.
